Our courses will be tailored
to the interests and requirements of the participants.
Here are our “starting points”:
TYPICAL ITINERARY FOR A WEEK’S COURSE:
For non residential participants the week-long courses will have lunches and the 2 evening meals included, if required.
Arrive late on Sunday afternoon,
unpack, settle in and meet fellow guests over a cup of tea.
Meet Dodie, view the project for the week
and relax over a buffet supper.
spend from 9.30 am until 12.30 starting the project.
After a buffet lunch continue until 3pm.
Dodie and Allison will then take you for a stroll around St Ives.
You will be shown suggested places to eat dinner.
The evening is free to have dinner, relax in the lounge
or continue with project.
Today, we will work until 4 p.m..
The evening will be as Monday.
After breakfast we work until lunch.
After lunch, there is an optional trip to Tate St Ives
and Barbara Hepworth’s Gallery.
Wednesday evening is free to continue project;
The morning will be as Wednesday and then after lunch Dodie will give you a talk and show you her treasures from her travels to either India or China. Free evening
Spend the morning completing project
then, after lunch, travel on the branch line train to St Erth.
You will enjoy stunning views on the way.
We then visit a bead warehouse.
In the evening there will be an end of course, farewell,
meal (with wine) prepared by Allison.
Depart after breakfast.
WEEKEND COURSES (when available) might include:
Arrive on Friday for tea; meet Dodie, Allison and fellow students,
view project and settle into surroundings.
Buffet evening meal will be served
(for both residents and non residents).
On Saturday begin project after breakfast,
break for lunch (for all) then continue project until 3.30.
After a walk around St Ives,
free time to eat out then enjoy a relaxing evening
with a chance to carry on the project if you wish.
On Sunday we begin work after breakfast,
break for lunch (for all), continue until 3.30
then, after any questions answered, depart for home.
